The Raymond Experience

RedRibbon Days was founded in 2007 by Sherin Wong. In short, RedRibbon Days is a gifting company specialised in experiential gifting. Currently we have almost a thousand experiences in our website!

I am fortunate to have experienced quite a lot of the experiences that we have. My favourites would be Pilot for a Day
ATV Waterfall Adventure, Aston Martin for a Day, Foot Reflexology to name a few. However, I have not experienced 'The Raymond Experience'.

Shiva has experienced 'The Raymond Experience' and yes, she is a very satisfied customer. (below).
Can you see Shiva's satisfied smile? The Raymond Experience can be customised, although his main focus is in IT, we can customise according to your needs. In Shiva's case, The Raymond Experience entitles her to spend time with Raymond satisfying her needs - her needs to help her with her computer and internet problems.

When the experience is over, Raymond makes sure that Shiva does not have any problems with her computer. He will stay back for a while and let Shiva check and see if everything is okay (below).

Claudine has experienced the Raymond Experience. However her experience is not related to IT. It's related to cars. The Raymond Experience that Claudine experienced, entitled her to spend time with Raymond while he changes her car tyre! (below)

We at RedRibbon Days believe that it is important that our customers are happy, regardless of the type of experience you purchase from us. Our CEO takes every feedback seriously. Since the Raymond Experience is such a customised and new experience, Sherin was there to ensure everything went smoothly and got Claudine's feedback on the spot. (below)
Another satisfied customer!

Motivate Yourself

Let me share with you what team members at RedRibbon Days do to feel motivated. Nik plays the guitar to motivate herself.Oh sorry, I didnt make myself clear - Nik loves Sherin watch her play the guitar to be motivated. (below) There is another thing that Nik does to feel motivated but unfortunately I do not have a picture of her doing it. Nik likes taking long baths. And possibly she likes Lan watching her do it. Ok Ok kidding :)

As for Shiva and Theing, they use Wii Fit to be motivated.
It's been quite a while since we utilize RedRibbon Days' breakout room. Recently I found out that, Theing drinks a lot of water to feel good. A closer picture of her water bottles (below). No actually not true, Theing doesnt drink a lot of water to feel good. She loves playing with feathers to feel good. A picture of her (infamous) pink feather. It's true that Theing brings her pink feather everywhere she goes but i cant help thinking where IT has BEEN :)

Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover

I know that my blog should be about the Funny Side of RedRibbon Days, however I could not stop myself from posting this blog. Shanghai is a beautiful city, been there and fell in love with it. The night life is fantastic and the food is great. A picture of the night scene of The Bund (below).

But to me, the most memorable thing about Shanghai is the people! They always say dont judge a book by it's cover but i never really understood what that means. How can one not judge someone by their appearance? But now i understand what the saying means. I have a picture of a lady and trust me, she knows people. A lot of people in fact.
You know what happens when people drink too much. They start fighting. There was a man that was so drunk that he got punched and fell on the floor. (I wasnt fast enough to take a video of the fight or him getting punched.)

There were a lot of people passing by but no one really stopped to see what was happening. Maybe it's quite normal for drunk people to fight and lie on hotel driveways.

But my point is not the fight, it's how people can possibly mistaken this woman as a person who doesnt know many people. I for one did. Let me post her photo again. (below)

All she has to do is make a few calls and within minutes the whole place was flooded with people.
As the minutes past, more and more of her friends came to see watch the drunk man lying on the floor.

The moral of the story is, dont judge the book by its cover.

Colour Matching Part II

At RedRibbon Days, we make it a point to experience all the experiences that we offer on our website. And we love experiencing an experience together. On the 25th October 2010, Sherin decided that we should have dinner with the whole team to celebrate our past achievements, present and future achievements! We had it at one of our favourite restaurant, Vincenzo. We also celebrated Shiva's 1 year anniversary as a Pleasure Team Consultant with RedRibbon Days and the fact that our new website is finally up.

Few days before, I overheard a conversation between Shiva and Theing.

Shiva: Wah Adik, I think it's time for us to wear the same colour.
Theing: Okay, we shall wear the same colour on the 25th October 2010. What colour will should we wear?
Shiva: Turqouise - my favourite colour.
Theing: Aiyah, but I got no turqouise colour baju. Okay, maybe I will go shopping during the weekend to get myself a turqouise baju.
Shiva: Yes, you should. If we sit facing each other, the plastic screen at our work station can pass off as a miror.

Shiva and Theing started laughing.

I wasnt sure what Shiva meant when she said " the plastic screen at our work station can pass off as a mirror" until I saw it. (below)

They were trying make a mirror image reflection of themselves by wearing the same colour. Although Theing is right-handed, she kept talking on the phone with her left hand that day.

Come dinner time, we left for Vincenzo. Theing and Shiva decided to go to Vincenzo together. From far they were walking beside each other (below)

But when they notice that I was taking photos, they decided to act like strangers.

Hoping that people at Vincenzo do not realise that they are wearing the same colour.

Colour Matching

Every Friday is casual day. I love Fridays because we all get to wear our favourite RedRibbon Days T-shirt. I absolutely love the fact that we all wear the same t-shirt. Makes me feel part of the team. Okay, I feel part of the team even when I'm not wearing the same t-shirt as my colleagues. My other colleagues however, loves wearing the same so much that they actually plan a day before to match each other's clothes colour.

I overheard a conversation between Theing and Ming Nu. They were secretly planning something with each other. All I heard was brown and belt. I wasn't sure what it was until the next day when I saw both of them (below). Both wearing brown belts.
Few days after that, I overheard a conversation between Ming Nu and Shiva. I wasnt really concentrating as they were speaking quite softly. All I heard was turqouise. I didnt think much of it until I saw them the next day.

As Shiva walked in the office, guess what TURQOUISE! (below)

And when Ming Nu walked in the office. Guess what colour she wore! Yes! You guessed it! (below).

I was so jealous because my colleagues wearing the same colour shows that they are in a gang and I'm not included :( So I told them, never again to plan what colour to wear or else I will play Justin Bieber's baby everyday.

My colleagues hate the song so much that they never again wore the same colour. Not sure why they dont like the song but I absolutely love it.

Ming Nu loves the idea of matching colours so much she even matched her clothes colour with an insecticide!

This is the colour that Ming Nu is wearing (below)

This is the colour of the insecticide (below):

Cant see the similarity? Try below:

Now you see the similarity?

Okay okay! They never planned what to wear the next day. The matching colours are all pure coincident, including the insecticide!

Best Friends Forever Part 2

In my previous post, I showed you a picture of how Nik and Sherin look like in 50 years time. I know that they will be best friends forever, after all, we have seen the picture of them in 50 years time - still best friends.

I guess it is hard not to be close to someone that is so like you. After all, birds of the same feather flock together.

Close friends usually have nicks for each other. Nik's nickname is 'ayam'. Below is the conversation of Sherin and Nik.
As you can see from the picture above, Nik prefers to be called Itik (duck) instead. After all she quacked when Sherin called her.

Sherin and Nik loves doing this every other day. They love wasting water - using mineral water to water the plants. Picture below shows Nik watering the plants in the meeting room and yes, she is talking to the plant.

Wait, I think she was singing to the plants.

And Sherin does the same thing (below). No, not the singing and talking to the plants part. Nik is the only one who gives the plants that kind of attention.

Sherin is so happy that she watered the plants that she is actually glowing (below)
Okay, the truth is, Sherin and Nik do not waste bottled water on the plants. The water that they used for the plants is tap water. The real culprit that actually wastes water everyday is me!

That's right, I drink 3 bottles a day!

Best Friends Forever!

It was on Monday morning (30th August 2010) that RedRibbon Days got invited to NTV7 for an interview. Nik, Sherin and I promised to meet each other at 7am at our office. When Sherin and I arrived the office, we heard loud banging near our pantry. Sherin and I thought Nik was making coffee.

As we walked in the office, we heard Nik shouting for help. She forgotten to bring her access card when she went to the toilet (our toilet is behind our pantry and we need an access card to enter the office from the toilet). We opened the door and I could see the relieve in Nik's face. She said she has been banging the door for at least 10minutes. She didnt bring her phone, she was so worried that we will be waiting for her at the lobby and not come up to the office. If we didnt come up to the office and unable to get her on the phone, we will think that she left for Sri Pentas herself. So, she will have to wait until 9am when the rest comes to work.

When I opened the door, Nik said "Lucky you guys came up, or else I would be stucked here for hours."

So I asked Nik "Why did you go to the toilet without bringing your access card?"

Nik said "I sakit perut (stomach ache), so I rushed to the toilet. But when the door closed behind me and I realised that I didnt bring my access card, my "Sh*t" shot back up"

Then we left for Sri Pentas and everything was fine.

Took a photo of Nik while we were going to Sri Pentas (below)

Focus closely and I realised that Nik only brings her access card when she is out of the office. No wonder she got locked out when she went to the toilet. A picture of Nik with her access card (below)

Okay, you must be thinking why did I name the title of this blog "Best Friends Forever"? The first part of this blog is not related to this blog. It's just to make fun of Nik.

This is the second part.

A picture of the best friends (below):
Nik and Sherin has been best friends since at Melbourne Uni. The took the same course together, party together.. they did everything together. Why did I suddenly wanted to write about both of them? Well, I'm no psychic but I know they will be best friends for ever.

This morning when I had breakfast at Bangsar, I had a glimpse of their future. I saw these 2 old ladies (around 70 years old) having breakfast at Bangsar. It's really sweet how they came for breakfast together and they left together. I wanted to take a picture of them but I didnt want to make it too obvious. I managed to take their photo when they were leaving after breakfast (below)

The driver is definitely Nik in 50 years time and the passenger is definitely Sherin! Focus on the picture above and you can see forgetful Nik left her slippers outside her car. Now rewind 50 years back when Nik forgotten her access card when going to the toilet. The slippers was outside her car for at least 5 minutes before Sherin (the one in the passenger seat) reminded her about her slippers.

Well, I think good friends are hard to find and it's really good to see that Nik and Sherin are still best friends even in 50 years time!

A New Addition at RedRibbon Days

Congratulations to RedRibbon Days for expanding its team! We decided to add a new addition to our team as she is so persistent in being a part of RedRibbon Days!

I was so amazed by her persistence. Yes, it's true, we are expanding our team in the next few months. We came out with our expansion plan but not so immediate. Our new team member wanted to join us so much she calls us everyday. Okay, actually only calling Theing. There was once she called and talked to Theing so long that Theing wanted to faint. She kept asking about when the position will be open, how is our company culture, everything about our company because she is so interested to join us. Below is a picture of Theing talking to our new team member:

Our new team member can call Theing at least 5 times a day? Somedays maybe 8-10 times a day? Everytime after 6.30pm (we finish work at 6.30pm) when the phone rings, Theing knows that it will be her calling. A picture of Theing below after 6.30pm when the phone rings:
I think on average they can talk for at least 30minutes. Below is a picture of Theing's red ears:

Poor Theing, when her ear hurts, Shiva the big sister (Shiva calls Theing, Adik, so I'm assuming Theing calls Shiva Kakak?) will come to her rescue and help her. A photo of Shiva making Theing feels better (below):

Okay, I remember Adik telling Kakak that her ear hurts. Why is Shiva putting eye drop on her eyes instead? Okay you know how ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) is connected. Maybe Theing's eye is connected to her ears too?

My apologies for not introducing our new team member earlier. Welcome Sy to our team! A picture of our team member, Sy!

We are glad you decided to join our team!

Little Red Ribboners

RedRibboners (members of RedRibbon Days) recently moved to a bigger office. Renovation just ended not long ago but the contractors had to come in do some touch-up. They came in last Friday and it was extremely distracting to everyone. Of course people will be distracted and possibly annoyed, there were dust everywhere, noise and paint smell but cant blame the workers, they are just doing their job.
Everyone was distracted but I think it affected Theing and Shiva the most.
Shiva was so distracted and excited especially when one of the workers took off his top she tweeted about it straight away.

I'm not the only one who thinks that Shiva got excited about the topless worker, even her friend Prem said this "Hmmm you seem pretty excited at that! :P"
Look at the smile!!!!

If you think Shiva got excited, Theing just started blushing. Her face was as red as a tomato but she covered it when I came to take her photo.
