Cleaning our Office at RedRibbon Days

30th of December 2010 was the last day of work in 2010 - thanks to Malaysia's victory in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup.

First we cleaned our workstations, then we moved to cleaning our Breakout Room, Pantry area and storeroom.

During Spring Cleaning, you usually find a lot of items that you dont remember having.

Guess what Lawrence found? He found a bra strap! It's understandable that you find pins, pens, lighters etc during Spring Cleaning, but a bra strap?

We asked everyone but we could not find the owner of the bra strap. I guess no one would admit because the next question we will ask is, "Why did you take off you bra strap in the office?"

Would you go home and check all your black bras to ensure that they are intact when you are definite that the bra strap is not yours?

Well I guess, one possibility that Shiva is the owner of the bra strap since she went home to check all her black bras! (below)

RedRibbon Days' Founder's Birthday

Back in November 2010, we celebrated our Founder, Sherin Wong's birthday at RedRibbon Days' office. Best to read her blog first before you read this blog. This is because I wont elaborate much about her birthday, basically filling some blanks with some pics :)

Everyone came to work very early that morning to decorate her office. In Sherin's blog, she mentioned, "So, I went in and everyone shouted "Happy Birthday". I smiled, went into my room - and to my horror, they placed something obscene on my chair and table. Too obscene that I'm not even inclined to put up any picture of it here." I shall do the honour to include the obscene thing below:


We are glad that Sherin loves the gift from us. We got her the Serious Shoes Lover experience. Luckily we didnt go with my suggestions to give her either a foot reflexology or a massage, because Sherin has a thing for shoes.

We had Nasi Padang for lunch - the type of food that Sherin loves. Although we all enjoyed the Nasi Padang, one person in particular enjoyed it the most - (below):

Nik loves the food so much that she was sitting on the edge of the seat.

And when the shoes were delivered to the office, Nik got so excited she decided to stand on the chair to get a better view.

Did I mention that Nik fell off the chair? Lesson to learn - Occupational health and safety 101: If you are standing on a chair with wheels, make sure you get someone to hold the chair for you. (below)

RedRibbon Days' Very Own Bonnie and Clyde

I just blogged about Nik and Sherin being RedRibbon Days' Batman and Robbin, I have another pair to blog about. There can be no heros without villains. Our infamous duo, Bonnie and Clyde: Shiva and Theing! Okay Okay, they are not really villains-lah, but I like to think of them as Bonnie and Clyde in this blog post. I'm sure Theing is Clyde and Shiva is Bonnie. After all, suppliers likes to call Theing, Mr Ng.

I'm grateful that Theing and Shiva get along very well. In fact, I think everyone at RedRibbon Days gets along with each other very well. Anyway, this blog is about Shiva and Theing and I shall blog about what they like to do with each other.

I do not deny the fact that Theing and Shiva are very good in what they do at RedRibbon Days. However, at times, they have their naughty side. And trust me, their naughty sides only come out during lunch hours and after work. So during working hours, they are productive.

RedRibbon Days' Very Own Batman and Robin

RedRibbon Days has our very own Batman and Robin. Let me introduce you, Sherin and Nik, our Batman and Robin. Okay, you must be wondering why Batman and Robin? We have an event next week for a client and the theme is Batman so I'm currently obsessed with Batman.

Sometime in October, we had a blackout in our office. All of a sudden, the lights went off. Our entrance door opens by pressing a button but we needed electricity to activate the button. The security guards of our office building tried opening the door for us but to no avail.

I thought it was quite funny because the guards tried pushing the jammed doors so I took pictures of them. When I realise that the guards could not open the door, I decided to see what Nik and Sherin were up to.

What can 2 petite girls do that 2 security guard couldn't?

I felt safe because I knew they had a plan! Two of them, Batman and Robin had the KEY!!

New Addition at RedRibbon Days

Previously I blogged about Sy, our persistent new team member. Recently we added 2 REAL members to our RedRibbon Days team!

Welcome Lawrence and Penny aka Maria to the RedRibbon Days family! Similar to Theing aka 'K', Penny does not like her new name, Maria. If you read RedRibbon Day's blog, you will know why. For our Christmas party, we had our yearly tradition of Kris Kringle (KK). But this year, instead of traditional "physical gift" we decided to exchange "experience gifts" instead. I wanted a 'maid for a week experience' from my KK partner who happens to be Penny. Penny couldn't decide what experience she would give me so I thought of giving her a 'maid' name so that I will get a maid for a week experience. After all, everyone at RedRibbon Days know that I believe very much in the Secret - Laws of Attraction.

However, I was happier when I received Penny's experience gift.

She gave me a Bieber Experience. (Yes, I am a big Bieber fan. I know, I know. Even my 7 year old cousin makes fun of me). She sang 'Baby' at the Redbox during our Company Annual / Xmas Dinner and promised me another 9 Bieber songs!

Lawrence was my KK partner, I gave him an Aston Martin ride experience to the Gardens. He is extremely appreciative. We share the same passion for supercars so we talked a lot about cars during the ride.

Our New Senior Pleasure Team Consultant

Recently Theing aka 'K' aka Angie was promoted as our Senior Pleasure Team Consultant at RedRibbon Days. We notice that most customers/suppliers call her Mr Ng so we thought of giving her new names. 'K' is the nickname I gave Theing since she is from Klang and her favourite food is none other than Bak Kut Teh (but only from Klang). The Redribboners call me 'T' as a term of endearment since I get really excited everytime I get to travel to Tawau. (We have a corporate client in Tawau and they prefer face to face meeting). So in two months, I have been to Tawau twice. Once a month, how awesome! Looking forward for my next trip to Tawau this month!! Woohoo!!

Well, this blog is about Theing so I shall stop blabbering about how much I love Tawau and how I get as excited as Nik with the mention of "69". Nik gets excited with the number 69 by the way. (my previous blog)

During our annual dinner 2010, Theing was awarded the AWA Award. She was awarded a RedRibbon Days Range Voucher. Okay I shall stop plagiarizing RedRibbon Days' blog.

Recently we installed a new printer at RedRibbon Days. I was waiting for hours for someone to help me connect the new printer to my laptop because I had few urgent documents to print. I knew there were someone at the office to help everyone with the installation but was not sure what took the person so long to come help me. I decided to walk out of my room and ahhh.. I finally understood. There were three men surrounding Theing, all trying to help her connect her laptop to the printer. How many people do you need to connect the printer to your laptop? For Theing, you need 3! Haha!

In my previous blog, I talked about Theing's infamous pink feather. I mentioned that she likes bringing her pink feather everywhere she goes and playing with it. What I found out is that, she likes it better when someone else plays with it. Picture below:

Good thing she didnt share with me what she was day dreaming about. But anyhow, Theing is a fantastic Senior PLEASURE Team Consultant. She really know what gives her pleasure!

Getting to Know the Other Side of Nik

Nik is RedRibbon Days' Executive Experience Officer. She is a fantastic person to work with. (I'm sucking up again).

I have known Nik since 2000 but working with her really shows me the other side of her. The first impression that anyone who meets Nik is, "Wow! She is beautiful". If you haven't seen how Nik looks like, below are few pictures of our beautiful Nik:

Okay, just cant get a good shot of Nik. In conclusion, she is a very camera shy girl at work. However, after working with her and getting to know her other side, she is not so camera shy after all.

Although it's quite shocking to know the other side of Nik, she's a fantastic person to work with. In short, everytime I'm with Nik, something funny always happens!

A Day with the Founder of RedRibbon Days

Quoting Nik "I'm so behind in my blog posts that it's so not funny." But since my blog title is "Funny Side of RedRibbon Days" I shall reword the sentence. I am so behind my blog posts it's so FUNNY. Just realised that the last blog i wrote was on the 31st October 2010. Gosh! Time flies.

Since it's the New Year, my first blog of the year will be about Sherin. Sherin Wong is the founder and CEO of RedRibbon Days. She is the brainchild behind the concept of RedRibbon Days. Many people wants to know the person behind such a cool brand so I thought, okay, why not share what I know here.

As the CEO of RedRibbon Days, Sherin does what most CEOs do - morning meetings,phone calls, emails, making decisions etc. But I would like to focus on something else that Sherin also does.
