RedRibbon Days Corporate

RedRibbon Days Corporate is proud to introduce our team member - Sharmein (below - left):

The picture above is taken from Sharmein's car after our corporate meeting. Mike usually takes us so this is my first time in Sharmein's car. Sharmein is an amazing driver (cough cough). Ok, I cant comment much, I am not a good driver myself. One thing for sure, we both have bad sense of direction.

Mike takes only 10minutes from Damansara Perdana back to the office while Sharmein and I take about an hour - with road blocks and jam (below):

But overall it's a great experience because on that day, Sharmein learnt a tip from our colleague Ramyah. If you put your car on D, your car will not be able to start. Dont panic, just make sure your gearbox is on P and try starting your car (If you dont get it, it's fine, it's an inside joke).

Corporate Event - High Ropes Experience

RedRibbon Days organised a corporate team bonding event recently and it's amazing to see how the team got together and made sure the event was a success. Well you see, the event was held on the 18th January 2014 and I only came back to Malaysia from holidays the day before. So credit goes to Sharmein for planning and managing the event well.

The event was so smooth that I didnt even have to be involved but high ropes experience is one of my favourite experience so I decided to join our RRD team. If I'm not wrong I think call time was at 5.30am and everyone involved came to work by 5.20am on a Saturday morning!

I'm facinated with the high ropes gear so i took a "feel" photo of it (below)

My favourite challenge for high ropes is flying fox (below)

The event ended well and we had 2 very tired sleeping beauties at the end of it (below)

Notice their RedRibbon Days cap is covering their face? haha! I think they expected this photo to be taken.

Banana Leaf Rice

Everyone at RedRibbon Days loves Banana Leaf Rice. We love it so much that we only employ people who enjoys banana leaf rice. Really, "Do you like Banana Leaf Rice?" is one of our RRD interview question.

To us - banana leaf rice equals celebration. We have banana leaf rice in the office for all of our birthdays. For New Year Eve celebration this year, we had banana leaf rice too!

Our takeaway banana leaf rice is not possible without our RedRibbon Days PTC Team Leader - Ramyah. I've accompanied her to take away and she can order the whole spread of dishes in 1 sentence. I can never do that. She can even get the waiter at Devi's corner to help us carry the food all the way to our car!!

Since I started talking about Ramyah, maybe I should continue blogging about her. A picture of Ramyah below:

For our RedRibbon Days' customers who have called us during lunch time, you will notice that there will definitely be someone that picks up your phone although it's Lunch time. Well I cant promise that the person's right hand is not be filled with curry (like the picture above).

And I cant promise if you provide your details to us during lunch time, we have no hands to write the details down (below):

Oh yes, other than having banana leaf rice for our team members' birthdays, each of us get a cake on our birthdays too.

I cant guarantee that your Team Leader does'nt do this (below) :
Because clearly, she really genuinely enjoys bullying people on their birthdays ;) (below)

Sherin of all Trades

Our RedRibbon Days Founder and CEO, Sherin Wong, is one Superwoman. She not only introduced experiential gifting to Malaysia, she also has many talents.

She is very hands on when it comes to event planning. She makes sure the flow of event is perfect. A picture of Sherin and Dato Rosyam Nor planning the itinerary for our Balistik Premiere (below):

She loves trying out new experiences on RedRibbon Days as well.

Recently she learnt how to shuck oysters.
Shucking oysters is not as easy as it sounds. It's even harder on really enormous live oysters (below)

Sherin is also a photographer (below)

She is also an umbrella girl (below)

Other than managing RedRibbon Days and RK Screen, this superwoman also sells curry puffs on the streets. haha! (below)
See how serious she is when she's working (above)

Love for Red Ribbons

RedRibbon Days was founded by Sherin Wong in 2007 and was launched in June 2008. I asked Sherin Wong, why the name RedRibbon Days. Her answer: "Because Red Ribbons always symbolise gifts, presents. When we buy a gift, we will wrap it and tie it with a ribbon". But the truth is, I think Sherin just loves the colour red and ribbons.

Well, not only Sherin has a thing for red ribbons. Our Head of Security and Assistant Head of Security at RedRibbon Days also love red ribbons.

Christmas Lunch at RedRibbon Days

Every year, we usually plan our Christmas dinner with the RedRibbon Days team in advance. This year however, was extremely hectic for us so we did not get the opportunity to plan our annual Christmas dinner in advanced.

On the 24th December, Sherin decided to gather the team and have our Christmas lunch together. We have an amazing team - as soon as Sherin mentioned that we were going to have our Christmas lunch together, the team started decorating our meeting room with candles and Christmas decoration.

We had Mexican food for our Christmas Lunch. I had Steak (below).

Although we did not plan our Christmas meal together in advance, we managed to organise our annual Experiences Only Kris Kringle.

Pictures of some of the vouchers below:

Anyone can teach me how to rotate my image? (above)

I received an experience from Joanne (below)

I always wanted a PA and I told everyone to give me the PA experience this year if they pick my name. Joanne decided to give me a PO experience. What is a PO experience? She calls it the Personal Opener. Meaning, she will open the door for me, open the cap of my water bottle... in short open anything for me.

I was a little disappointed so I aimed the Christmas popper at her. Haha! Dont worry, no one was hurt during that experience (below)

Japanese Taster Menu

I'm so glad that our RedRibbon Days' Hunter and Gatherer team brought in Kuriya as our new experience partner. I love the food in Kuriya and having amazing Japanese food as a gift is a great idea.

Although I am usually interested in trying out extreme and adventurous experiences, I decided to bring my family to try Kuriya's Christmas Menu. The food was amazing and I was quite disappointed because this menu is only valid till 25th December 2013.

Some photos of the food below:

Gindara Teriyaki Kampung Chicken which tastes as good as it looks (below)
 Roll Sushi (below)
Wagyu Beef - Marble Grade 7 Shabu Shabu (below)
and my favourite - the dessert (below)
We were so full at the end of the night but were extremely satisfied. I even bugged the Restaurant Manager to let us promote something similar on our website and was happy that he said yes. For those that is looking for a great Japanese dining experience as gifts - check out this experience - Kuriya Taster Menu for Two.
