Sharmein's Birthday

We love birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, Christmas... well we love any kind of joyous celebrations.

At RedRibbon Days, we love celebrating our team members' birthdays. We look forward to spending time with each other bonding over food. All of us at RedRibbon Days enjoy eating.

My personal favourite - Banana Leaf Rice! Recently we celebrated Sharmein's birthday lunch with banana leaf rice and I was probably the happiest person that day.

For our corporate clients who havent Sharmein, below is a picture of her:

 

 Sharmein was also happy that we decided on banana leaf rice that day that she danced with joy.

Now I realised why Sharmein had difficulties blowing the candles on her cake - look at the distance between her and the candles. Trust me, she was thinking of Ramyah when blowing the candles - check out the blog about Ramyah and her cake here.

Ramyah and Ara got the cake that day - we love the strawberry cheese cake from Bangsar Village. A picture of the cake (below):

While lighting the candles, we realised that the cake shop guy made a mistake - instead of Happy Birthday Sharmein From RRD Team, it was written from PRO Team. 

Aston Martin DB9 Passenger Ride

We have an Aston Martin DB9 Passenger Ride experience on our website at RedRibbon Days. The experience is one of our 2012 most popular experience.

Recipients of this gift enjoyed the experience tremendously. As you would be aware, our Founder and CEO Sherin Wong makes sure all our experiences (especially those adventurous ones)  are tried and tested before we publish them on our website.

I am fortunate to test most of the flying experiences - for example flying the plane, Tandem Paramotor, helicopter experience, paragliding, flight simulator (ok, thats not as scary as the above but super fun) - just realised i've done all the flying experiences on our website. I'm not scared of height but I'm actually scared of water and like most people, I'm scared of width. Haha!

In addition to our flying experiences, I have also experienced quite a few driving experiences - go kart,  ATV but I've not tried the Aston Martin DB9 Passenger Ride.

So, I decided to get my colleague / also the owner of the DB9 / Shane / assistant Head of Security to give me a ride in his car.

It was an amazing experience and I loved it. 

P/S: It is a once in a lifetime experience for me because Shane usually does not have the time to take us for a spin in his car since his full time job is Assistant Head of Security and not a driver. For our Redribbon days gift recipients, other drivers usually drive. 

Bespoke Balloons

Our RedRibbon Days Founder and CEO, Sherin Wong loves balloons. Although we are a gift experience company that do not sell tangible gifts, Sherin decided to add a new product on our website - The Bespoke Balloon.

Our Bespoke Balloon is 36 inches and receiving a BIG balloon like this is indeed an experience. Although we only started selling these customised Big Bespoke Balloons, we are extremely happy that it's very popular.

We did not do much marketing for the bespoke balloons but we are fortunate that NTV7 Bella invited Sherin to be interviewed on their show on their show (below).

Our Chief Security Officer

Please meet our RedRibbon Days' Chief Security Officer - Modjo! 

We are blessed and grateful to have him as our CSO because he makes sure the security at work is always errm safe. Besides his day to day job, he enjoys reading magazines (below)

Especially articles about our Founder and CEO, Sherin Wong. 

Besides that, he loves reading books especially management books. (below)

He contributed in our RRD Corporate Booklet about how important employee reward and recognition is. 

Being part of RedRibbon Days', he is also involved in trying and testing new experiences before we publish the experiences on our website. The experience that he prefers are less adventurous and more relaxing and pampering. One example is (below) At Home Full Body Massage

Recently he decided to try our website to order a birthday cake for himself (below):

Flight Simulator

Always wanted to fly but afraid of heights? Our Pilot for a Day experience is extremely popular as a gifts amongst our customers but we realised that we have a group of people who always wanted to experience flying but are afraid of height.

Our RedRibbon Days team members have been searching for flight simulator classes for a while. We are glad that we finally found these experiences - A320 Flight Simulator Experience and  Boeing 737 Flight Simulator Experience. 

I was extremely happy when I got a call from our captain. He mentioned that he recently started his flight simulator centre and would like RedRibbon Days to package it as gifts. And the best part of this is, I was invited to try the experience on Sunday. When I had a look at my diary, I realised that I had quite a few things on that day and I am blessed that I could get my boss help me with them while I flew to Hong Kong and back in 1 hour :)

 Touch down! Picture above when I managed to land the plane safely. Errr.. I actually crashed twice before managing to land the plane safely. The only flying experience that we can crash more than once.

I'm currently obsessed with taking photos with our RedRibbon Days cap especially when I'm doing experiences alone and yup I am still shy to take a selfie.

Our very own Chocolate Spa

RedRibbon Days loves birthdays. I love birthdays because it's all about giving gifts and celebrating. We love celebrating our team member's birthdays as well.

I dont think I have blogged about any of our team member's birthday (although we celebrate all our birthdays with the team) except our Founder and CEO, Sherin Wong . This will be my first.

I think the team got Ramyah chocolate flavoured cake because she likes chocolates.

Her birthday surprise was when one of our team member, Ara decided to 'surprise' her with errr RRD special Chocolate Spa?  The pictures below sums it all:

International Women's Day

RedRibbon Days' Founder and CEO, Sherin Wong decided to reward all the girls in our company with mobile manicure and pedicure experience during International Women's Day this year.

It's a pretty cool experience and the girls in our company had great reviews about their experience. I didn't know there is a take home manicurist or pedicurist in kl but our hunters and gatherer team found the experience.

Meet Ara (below) - When I saw her nails, I seriously thought the manicurist had limited nail polish colour hence some of her nails are white and some are black. Apparently it's the new trend. Well, as long as she is happy with the 'colours' of her choice.
